If you’re like me, you probably have a phone full of pictures of your kids. But how many have you printed and hung on your walls?
It can be really difficult to get natural expressions when photographing your own children. They want to cheese, or look weird, or run away.
But sometimes, you need pictures for a special event. Or you realize it’s been 3 years since you’ve updated Grandma’s photos. You might be worried about your child’s behavior because of past photoshoots.
As a mother of 4, I understand normal child behavior. I understand normal “excitement of something new” behavior that happens at photo shoots. I love working with children of all ages – putting them at ease, encouraging them to play – getting you images that make you say, “that is so my child”.
My girls love having Ms. Tara take our pictures the past few years! My younger daughter, who is now 6, has always had trouble smiling for a photographer, but she has not had any trouble for Ms. Tara at all! Tara is very uplifting and fun with the little ones. She’s asked our girls to do different fun things during shoots. She’s definitely someone we would recommend for pictures!

When your child isn’t a poser or big smiler, you need a Tara Peckham in your life to capture the child’s true spirit. Whimsical, inquisitive, explorer, kinda silly, gentle… Tara said it was her “Alice in Wonderland” shoot. All things that wrap up into the precious girl that she has grown into these last 5 years.
